it is so disgusting but the best thing is it keeps your teeth nice and clean

ANZAC

Welcome back to TERM 2!

Today we were reading about ANZAC and all about it we read an article then we answered questions and then we made a ka hoot with all types of questions like “When was the first ANZAC day ever?”.

my Kahoot has 15 questions some are very interesting some are easy these are one of my questions on my Kahoot

we also learned about Tumoana

the waka leader of Tinana. We also answered questions like “What were the names of Tumoanas son and daughter?” that’s mostly what we did today.

I enjoyed learning about ANZAC because I like the army

do you like the army?!

Stranded

One day there was a young man named Trevor who got bored with his device so when he gets bored he goes on his dad’s seaboat. He went out on his dock to get the boat the key was in the boat. Trevor got in the boat and went out to sea. The waves picked up and got bigger when… Trevor flipped over the boat with the boat he woke up on a forest island he started to look around the little island and saw lots of branches so decided to make shelter he made shelter. Trevor was very hungry he saw fish swimming in the ocean he had his safety kit that came with some water and a knife he carved a stick to make a big spear he chucked it with might and got 2 fish

He quickly ran to go get it. He made a fire with his lighter and cooked the fish. It got dark quickly so he slept the night and he woke up he made a big SOS sign in hopes of getting rescued he needed more food so he collected the whole day and ended up with 10 bananas 5 fish 2 coconuts and 15 crabs he was set for like a whole week he went to sleep once again and woke up on day 3 he cooked some crab and went out to explore more he got to the middle of the island when he heard a branch crunch. He turned around and saw a big grizzly bear he climbed the tree quick

He wakes up and he’s on the floor and all his stuff is gone he screamed so loud when he saw a person or thing in a black type rag over his head and red eyes or a mask on his face the figure ran away. Trevor chased him he got to him when he ran into a cave Trevor followed he ran out of the cave because he heard a helicopter he saw help and a chance of living the pilot said we saw your SOS sign I got into the helicopter and my parents were so worried I cam back home they said: “where were you?” I said nothing and walked into my room. Who knew what would happen if he followed the figure he decided to search for it out of pure curiosity and it said its an urban legend. He was going to bed when… to be continued

my summer memories

                                                    My Summer Memories

Have you seen summer?

Sure you have!

Remember when the whānau would come over?

And have a BBQ on a hot boiling day?

Remember when nana came over?

And she took us to the beach because it was so hot?

That was summer

Remember when we went to the pool?
And I tripped and fell on the hot steaming floor?

Remember when we went to the shop?

And got a giant cold ice cream?

That was summer

Remember when we set up tents in the front yard?

And the big strong gust of wind pushed us and made us tumble over?

Remember when we went diving?

And we got lots of spiky pointy kina

That was summer

Remember when we went for a swim at the beach

And the large wave crashed on top of me and felt  like bricks smashing into my head

Remember when we went into town

And I got a big bouncy trampoline for Christmas?

That was summer.

The perfect storm

We have been writing narrative stories, we did a story about a storm because there was a big storm at my school. Here is my writing.

One beautiful afternoon my dad, mum, and I were lying down on the couch. We were watching the news at my house then we noticed there was a storm. We didn’t think much about it at first, then the next minute our power cut out. We saw a dark cloud approaching our way. We were outside when we saw a tornado. It was actually coming towards us and we went inside the house terrified.

Our power came back on for a bit. On one news, they said we needed to evacuate. Big storms and a tsunami were headed our way. We looked outside one more time and we saw a huge wave coming towards us. Mum said “Hang on to something PJ”, so I did. The wave came crashing over us and we got separated from each other.

The wind was so strong, and then all I heard was the thunder right above me. I heard the sirens go off and I saw damaged buildings being eaten up by the sea. I ran over there to see if my mum or dad were there.as soon as i got there i saw houses burning slowly.

I looked behind me and saw my parents walking toward me.  Suddenly I saw a big wave coming towards us I said to “take cover mum and dad” they didn’t hear because of how loud the thunder was the wave swept them they got pulled.  Hail started to fall from the big dark cloud it was terrifying. Some big wind forced me to the ground I had blood all on my face. I wish we would’ve taken the storm news seriously. then I woke up it was just a bad dream phew! the end

i wish i wouldve writen more or add more puncuation i really enjoyed writing this story.

Takarokaro

Last Term we had a Rugby festival at Te Rarawa Rugby club. We played lots of games such as R.a.t which means Rip and tag, 4 corners, and turbo Touch.  I had so much fun.

After we finished Turbo touch we went inside the club and had a shared kai. It was mufti day  – pajamas day as well. We had to come in our Pjs or mufti. At the start, we listened to the national anthems of South Africa (Springboks), New Zealand (All Blacks), Wales, and Samoa. I really enjoyed playing Turbo Touch. If we would’ve played a bit more I would have been happier. Have you ever played Rugby?
