ANZAC

Welcome back to TERM 2!

Today we were reading about ANZAC and all about it we read an article then we answered questions and then we made a ka hoot with all types of questions like “When was the first ANZAC day ever?”.

my Kahoot has 15 questions some are very interesting some are easy these are one of my questions on my Kahoot

we also learned about Tumoana

the waka leader of Tinana. We also answered questions like “What were the names of Tumoanas son and daughter?” that’s mostly what we did today.

I enjoyed learning about ANZAC because I like the army

do you like the army?!

my summer memories

                                                    My Summer Memories

Have you seen summer?

Sure you have!

Remember when the whānau would come over?

And have a BBQ on a hot boiling day?

Remember when nana came over?

And she took us to the beach because it was so hot?

That was summer

Remember when we went to the pool?
And I tripped and fell on the hot steaming floor?

Remember when we went to the shop?

And got a giant cold ice cream?

That was summer

Remember when we set up tents in the front yard?

And the big strong gust of wind pushed us and made us tumble over?

Remember when we went diving?

And we got lots of spiky pointy kina

That was summer

Remember when we went for a swim at the beach

And the large wave crashed on top of me and felt  like bricks smashing into my head

Remember when we went into town

And I got a big bouncy trampoline for Christmas?

That was summer.

Takarokaro

Last Term we had a Rugby festival at Te Rarawa Rugby club. We played lots of games such as R.a.t which means Rip and tag, 4 corners, and turbo Touch.  I had so much fun.

After we finished Turbo touch we went inside the club and had a shared kai. It was mufti day  – pajamas day as well. We had to come in our Pjs or mufti. At the start, we listened to the national anthems of South Africa (Springboks), New Zealand (All Blacks), Wales, and Samoa. I really enjoyed playing Turbo Touch. If we would’ve played a bit more I would have been happier. Have you ever played Rugby?
